This is one of the nicest gyms in Oregon. Way more gym than you would normally find in a small town. I can't think of a nicer gym nearby. Hot tubs inside and out, basketball, racket ball, pickel ball, and lots of space. The equipment is all very nice and new. They keep this gym in tip top shape. All this for 50 a month. Inner city gyms are 3 times that much will less amenities.
Very friendly staff, the equipment is all very nice and looks well taken care of. Plenty of cardio machines on the second floor. The daycare for the little ones is fantastic and reasonably priced. Great programs for the kids in both areas as well.
Doug and I joined the Club in 2022 and had to ask for a grace period from our membership. The Membership Manager and Team were extremely helpful in solution oriented ideas to keep our membership in place. We feel warm and welcomed each time that we come in and appreciate the quick answers to our questions.
We look forward to getting stronger and healthier this year with the help from Mt Hood Athletic Club, Sandy, OR.

Awesome experience every time..This club has everything you could ask for... As a mother of 6 kids ranging from 2 to 15, I can get in a workout with the 2yr old in Kidz Club, 9 and 10 yr old in the tween room ( which they love) and the oldest 3 are able to do their own workout..
Nice facilities and friendly staff. However this gym is the stereotypical sign a contract where they have fees for everything. They hide behind the contract as justification for stealing money from customers. There is no excuse for a $50 fee to make a change to a contract that requires them to simply click a couple of buttons on your account. My situation was a roommate moved away and they billed me for the month AND charged a change fee. So effectively they stole $100 for the month and the change. The billing cycles are understandable, theft however, is immoral.
Not wheelchair accessible- they lack basic items required by the ADA.. automatic doors, accessible showers etc.. when visiting I was told the owner would call me back in regards to fixing the issues, but after a week passed with no phone call- I stopped by again. This time all I got was “oh-sorry I don’t know anything about that”
this is the year 2022! how can companies like this blatantly exclude a portion of the population that relies on ADA laws to be followed? Truly astounding.
UPDATE: I received a call back - they explained that other wheelchair users use the club… which is a slap in the face. Maybe the place met code when they opened - but they also told me installing power doors is too bunch of a financial burden. And they are also ‘sympathetic’ to people that rely on ADA guidelines. So… sympathy, and too expensive. Just what people in our situation want to hear…
I want to be able to go about my day like everyone else, and not have to rely on “sympathy” of others to preform basic tasks
The last apartment complex I lived in, I personally paid for the pool lift. Purchase, installation, and permits totaled $2700.
But a $600 bench bolted to the wall for the shower area (required by ADA) , and power doors are a bridge too far.
The general attitude and demeanor of the person working the front counter is an absolute joke. I was planning on getting a membership for me and my wife but within less than 3 minutes walked out due to the absolute lack of Customer service.
Job postings lie about pay. They pay minimum wage regardless of experience.
Edit in response to the owner's response: The owner has accused me of showing up unasked. I was called to schedule an interview. When I showed up, they had my resume printed. They didn't even know what position I had applied for. I would not have driven 40 minutes to a random gym unasked without experience. The mismanagement is wild and your response speaks louder than my review ever could.
